Blue plastic cups line the plastic tables as about 20 students prepared to defend their club's, fraternity's and sorority's honor in a root beer pong tournament Tuesday afternoon on October 2, 2007.
The tournament lasted for one hour at the Jot Travis Student Union Lawn and was sponsored by Flip Side as part of Homecoming Week.
Observers and friends supporting their teammates crowded all of the tables. In the end the men from Alpha Tau Omega won the title as the 2007 root beer pong champions.

"We would like to put on even more events than we have this year in the future," says Lindsey Kern, Flip Side diversions chair. "We're have more events that students would like to participate it [than last year]."
"I meet a lot of new people at Flip Side events," says senior Daralie Bernardo, member of Asian American Student Association. "Flip Side events are good for freshmen to go to since the events are on campus and are free."
A list of this year's homecoming events can be viewed at the ASUN website.
